A window & door assessment is worth approximately £75-£125, but can be more valuable to you and your home as it can detect problems with your windows, doors and energy efficiency saving you money in the long term.
What is a Window & Door Assessment and what do we do?
A window & door assessment is carried out by a member of our trained Glass & Glazing team, who will arrange to visit your property at a convenient time to assess your windows and doors for wear and tear, energy efficiency and faults. Any minor faults will be repaired, hinges and locks will be lubed and a report will be produced identifying work undertaken and any further work recommended. The assessment will prolong the life of your windows and doors by catching problems before they become unrepairable and therefore have to be replaced, costing you more.
Wardgroup Glass & Glazing conduct window & door assessments across Barrow in Furness, the South Lakes, the central Lake District and Morecambe Bay, including the towns of; Barrow, Dalton, Ulverston, Grange over Sands, Cartmel, Coniston, Windermere, Bowness, Broughton, Millom, Kirkby, Kendal, Ambleside, Hawkshead, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe and Askam-in-Furness. If you live in or near any of these towns, then you are eligible to win the competition. New Look Windows & Doors for a Fraction of the Cost
As your UPVC doors and window systems get older the component parts may begin to fail causing draughty gaps or condensation and misting to appear thus making your home less energy efficient and colder. This should not be taken as a signal that your doors or windows need total replacement. In many instances it is far more cost effective to repair than renew and the original appearance and operation can be re-established. At Wardgroup we offer a comprehensive refurbishment service on windows and doors for homes and businesses in the local area.
Wardgroup are offering a windows and doors assessment service, where a visit to the customer’s premises is arranged and an experienced Glass and Glazing fitter will assess all of the windows and doors at the property, carrying out any simple improvements and producing a report highlighting the works required to bring the windows and doors up to a nearly new standard.
Failed units may not require complete replacement and may benefit from the installation of new hinges, locks or the latest energy efficient glass. New glazing can also combine our latest leaded designs with tinted or self-cleaning glass and leaks and draughts can be easily solved by replacing gaskets and re-adjustment. When doors or windows are sticking, the hinges may simply need renewing which along with re-adjustment will provide that ‘as new’ feel.
If your door is looking dated and tarnished, it is easily upgraded by replacing handles and hinges from the huge range available. Security can be improved by replacing locking mechanisms with the latest high specification barrels, and patio doors can have wheels and mechanisms replaced.
So if you’re thinking of renewing, consider a Wardgroup make-over first and you could have a window, door or glazing system that looks and functions like new at a fraction of the cost.
